Ed Dale on Market Samurai

I guess we shouldn't be surprised...

Previous years' 30DC records didn't stand a chance.

When we unleashed this year's 30DCers, they had a
never-before-released secret weapon that gave them an
unfair advantage over previous years...

...Instead of being a bunch of timid newbies, this year 30DCers
strutted into existing profitable niches like a bunch of bratty
schoolyard bullies...

They kicked the snot out of established "players" - practically
turning their competition upside-down, shook them up, took their
traffic, profitable keywords, top rankings, customers and lunch
money - and kept it all for themselves!...

...And I couldn't be more proud!

======================
So How Did They Do It?
======================

They used a never-before-released piece of software called
Market Samurai. It works on a Mac and a PC - and currently sells
to non-30DCers for $149

(However, if you're one of the few people who didn't take advantage
of the 30DC special, it's available to you via a 72-hour special
for just $87 if you act now via the link below - long story, I'll
come back to this in a moment)

---> http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com/MarketSamurai

It's not because of some secret formula that Market Samurai was so
effective (although Market Samurai has its fair share of
awesomeness) - it's because Market Samurai is smart about the
way it manages the hard work for you:

- It Slashes Time Wasted on Tasks That Don't Directly Create
Results - allowing you to focus on the things that give you the
best returns;

- It Tells You Exactly What To Do Next - meaning you don't get
lost, confused or sidetracked - and every ounce of energy is
effective;

- And it Helps You Complete Critical Internet Marketing Tasks
Faster, Easier, More Efficiently, and with Better Results
Than Ever Before

This means you have the highest probability of success, in
the shortest time, with minimal waste of effort.

It's because of this high probability of success that this
year's 30DCers were able to strut confidently into new niches
and throw their (suddenly considerable) weight around in
the search engines.

To be serious for a moment - if you're honest about getting
visitors, search engine rankings and customers to your web-site,
you need to stop reading this email, click on the link below,
and get a copy of Market Samurai now...

---> http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com/MarketSamurai

...That's because I opened my big mouth and said something stupid -
so you only have 72 hours left to act.

==============================
=====
How I Screwed Up, and Redeemed Myself...
===================================

I suffer from a serious case of foot-in-mouth disease at times, and
kept telling people "Market Samurai is too cheap".

And I was right!

If you wanted a similar set of features as the one's you'd find
inside Market Samurai, you would need to buy 8 marketing software
packages, with each one costing $87 or more - that's over $696
worth of software!

Market Samurai were giving 30 Day Challenge participants a ridiculous
price - roughly 10% of the true value of the software - $69

The problem was, the Market Samurai guys actually listened to me
when I said "Market Samurai is too cheap", and when this special
offer expired on the 12th of September, they immediately put their
price up to $149 - those bastards!

I twisted their arms to let me extend the original offer to you
for 72 more hours - but they wouldn't budge.

They would rather commit seppuku than go back on their word - and
they promised the previous offer would never be repeated after
September 12th.

After an epic negotiating battle, Samurai vs Tubby Nerd, they did
make a compromise...

For the next 72 hours, they let me offer Market Samurai to you
for just $87

... No Tricks ... No Catches ... No Monthly Subscription Fees ...

It's $87 one-time, ever, that's all - period.

But only via this private link:

---> http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com/MarketSamurai

===================================
What the heck is Market Samurai?
===================================

If you still have no idea of what you're missing out on then you
need to visit this site right now:

---> http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com/MarketSamurai

If you DO know what you're missing out on (because you missed out
on their last offer), then you'll know how important it is to
secure your copy immediately.

I can only hold off the Samurai price-rise for so long (they have
long sharp swords you know!) ;-)

Don't miss out on this one.

Speak soon,

- Ed

P.S. - I'm told that since the 30DC began, Market Samurai has been
downloaded over 32,000 times by 30DCers who now have a "head start"
on this just-released software.

Don't let them leave you behind... I don't make this recommendation
lightly.

Market Samurai Offer

Long story short - if you haven't purchased Market Samurai yet, you
have a slender 72 hour window (until Saturday September 20th at
11:59 PDT) to get Market Samurai for just $87

But only via this link:

--> http://clicks.aweber.com/y/ct/?l=9Ay_e&m=1abvRiqVgREdjC&b=c8VlbGyaYWaH6v9ssFVhtQ

Let me explain...

On Thursday last week, Ed Dale came to visit us at the "Samurai
Dojo" (the Noble Samurai offices).

We figured it would be a bit of a debrief about the 30 Day
Challenge - normal stuff, like a chat about the success that
30DCers had achieved using Market Samurai, and a conversation about
how we could best help 30DCers who will continue to sign up to the
30 Day Challenge over the next 12 months...

But Ed dropped a bombshell.

"That $69 price worked well... It was a good price, and I'd like to
keep offering it to 30 Day Challengers."

What followed was a very awkward silence...

As you have probably read, at $69 - including all support, and
upgrades (for the lifetime of the product!) - with no subscription
payments, we were making pennies. Certainly not getting rich by any
measure!

PLUS... over 42.8% of everyone who has tried Market Samurai has
upgraded to the full version because, let's face it; Market Samurai
is game-changing... It speaks for itself... So we're not desperate
for more sales.

In fact, the current demand for Market Samurai means our top
development guys have been diverted to support while we get
everyone up-and-running!

PLUS... the guys who have been working on Market Samurai are
dog-tired after 2 months of 16-20 hour days, 5-7 days per week!!

These are the most incredibly committed, intelligent people you'll
ever meet - they're the reason why Market Samurai is so amazing -
and we want to keep these people. So we are reluctant to keep
asking favors of them, and getting them to continue to give up
their lives just to work on Market Samurai!

PLUS... we promised that we'd never offer the $69 price again,
after the offer expired on September 12th...

We were sick of seeing slick marketers promoting "second chance,
price extended, strictly limited, never-to-be-repeated" offers with
fake deadlines that seem to keep being extended forever. Augh!

When we chose the name "Noble Samurai", we chose it because we
wanted to be people of integrity, where our word was rock-solid!

And we'd given our word - our promise - that the offer would end
and would never be repeated.

AND AFTER ALL THAT...

Ed had been goading us - baiting us - challenging us for weeks to
lift the price, saying "$69 is too cheap"...

Then that bastard turns to us casually, and asks us to drop the
price back to $69 - just a few days after we eventually lift it to
$149?!

THERE WAS NO WAY IN HELL!

We'd made promises! We needed sleep! And we didn't need any more
sales!

There was no way we were going to give in, go back on our promises,
and start selling Market Samurai for just $69 again!

But never underestimate Ed Dale...

He's persistent, he's incredibly smart, and he knows a thing or two
about negotiating.

Sure, he's a grinning, nerdy, lazy, chubby joker - but before he
become independently wealthy from his internet businesses, Ed was a
top executive for some multi-million dollar corporations!

So Ed's knows a thing or two about negotiating...

...And he wanted to make sure that 30 Day Challenge participants
who missed out on Market Samurai's original offer could still get a
great deal.

It took us a week to come up with something that everyone could
agree on (made harder by the fact that Ed went overseas just after
our original meeting), but...

WE FINALLY AGREED TO OFFER YOU THIS:

For 72 hours - (ONLY UNTIL SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 12TH, 2008 at 11:59pm
PDT) - Ed could make one last offer... not at $69, but at $87

This means YOU HAVE ONE FINAL CHANCE to get Market Samurai at the
discounted price of $87

No catches... No recurring payments... That's $87 once-off -
including all future updates...

But only if you get in before Saturday the 12th of September at
11:59pm (PDT), and only if you use this link:

--> http://clicks.aweber.com/y/ct/?l=9Ay_e&m=1abvRiqVgREdjC&b=c8VlbGyaYWaH6v9ssFVhtQ

This is a genuine $62 discount off the normal $147 you would pay if
you visited our web-site normally (through the home page).

Frankly, we don't need to encourage any more sales - our staff are
already working 16+ hour days to keep up with demand for Market
Samurai - so this offer WILL expire at 11:59pm PDT on Saturday
September 12th, 2008...

If you don't own Market Samurai already, this is your last chance -
there will be no extensions to this $87 offer.

Warm regards,

Brent Hodgson

P.S. - If you've already purchased Market Samurai, you'll also be
receiving a new "Mystery Feature" available only to paid owners of
Market Samurai (it won't be available in the trial).

To find out more about this "Mystery Feature" that all owners of
Market Samurai will receive, or to get your copy (if you haven't
already) visit:

Using Pingbacks for Backlinks

...EVERY SEARCH ENGINE RANKING BATTLE EVENTUALLY COMES DOWN TO A
LINK-BUILDING WAR.

Throughout the 30 Day Challenge, and over the last few emails Brent
and I have sent you, we've been going through a structured process
for getting faster and easier search engine rankings, using Market
Samurai.

This structured process has helped you to:

- Identify keywords that have high levels of traffic, and few
competitors in Google;
- Analyze the strength of your competitors so you can "outrun the
lion";
- Analyze the backlinks of your competitors to determine the
precise number and quality of backlinks that you will need to
outrank your competition;
- Find content (with low content authority) that can be used for
fast and easy market testing;

But the lesson in all of this is...

A GOOD SEO SAMURAI CHOOSES THEIR BATTLES WISELY

It's unwise to try and break into markets that will take months of
your time, money and hard work - just before you see any result or
return on your efforts.

That's why we've already given you several strategies for "choosing
your battles wisely" - by identifying keywords that minimise your
risk, maximise your rewards, and as a result give you a higher
probability of success.

So now it's time for what might be the most important lesson of
them all...

...Building Links.

BUILDING LINKS IS ULTIMATELY WHERE SEARCH ENGINE RANKINGS ARE WON
AND LOST

In the end - after keywords have been chosen, content has been
written, and the site structure developed - all search engine
rankings wars ultimately end up turning into a battle of links.

He who has the best links, wins.

As we've shown you already, it's not just the QUANTITY of links
that matters...

...It's also the QUALITY of links that determines the outcome of
the search engine ranking war.

And we've shown you how you can outrank your competitors with only
a SMALL FRACTION of the links that your competitors have.

But ultimately, at some stage, you'll still need to build links...

And if you do it the traditional way, link building is generally
WHERE MOST OF THE HARD WORK GOES IN...

HOW TO BUILD LINKS - THE TRADITIONAL WAY

Previously, if you were building links, there were two options...

OPTION #1 - Spend DAYS Building Easy, Trashy, Worthless, "GUTTER"
Backlinks

OPTION #2 - Spend WEEKS Trying to Build Valuable, Difficult,
"QUALITY" Backlinks

"Gutter" links are easy - you can get them commenting on blogs,
submitting to article directories, participating on forums, and
dozens of other easy sources...

They're easy to get - but practically worthless when it comes to
helping you to rank well in search engines. So you practically need
zillions of them to get any real traction in the search engines.

Plus, these strategies are open to abuse by "black hat" SEO
marketers - so they're generally frowned upon by the blog and forum
owners.

In fact, elaborate spam-detection systems have been built into most
blogging platforms like wordpress to detect blog-comment spam.

In a recent study of using blogs to build backlinks by one
prominent SEO marketer, ONLY ONE OUT OF EVERY THREE  links
submitted actually "stuck", while the other two out of three were
disapproved or shut down by automatic comment-spam systems.

"Quality" links are highly valuable links - but they have their own
problems too.

They really require you to either build relationships and request
links from potential link partners in your niche (and let's face
it, most people will say no) - or spend hours writing unique
content for third-party sites (and again, getting rejected
time-and-time again).

They're the polar opposite of "gutter" links - "quality" links are
generally highly valuable links - but they require you to spend
LITERALLY DAYS worth of your time just to get a handful of links.

HOW TO BUILD LINKS - THE EASY WAY - USING PINGBACKS

Fortunately, there's a 3rd option:

OPTION #3 - Spend MINUTES Building Easy, Quality "PINGBACK" links

WHAT IS A PINGBACK?

Pingbacks are a common feature in most blogs - it's the way that
blogs talk to each other when one blog links to another. (Often,
they're mistakenly called a "Trackback")

If you write a blog post, and include a link to another blog that
supports pingbacks, the blog that you are LINKING TO will
automatically create a link back to your blog.

(Usually this link uses the title of your blog post as the
link-text of the link - handy to know if you are keyword-optimizing
the title tags of your post... hint-hint...)

HOW TO USE PINGBACKS TO SLIP UNDER THE BLOG COMMENT RADAR...

Pingbacks are still open to comment spam, but there's a clever way
that you can use pingbacks to create a WIN-WIN-WIN outcome for you,
other blog owners that you are seeking links from, and even the
readers of your own blog!

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:

Let's say that you're writing a blog post focused around the
keyword "vintage electric guitar".

What you do is compile a list of other blog posts that are about
vintage electric guitars, and then at the end of your blog post you
write, "Here are Related Links:" and then list the links and a
description of each of the links.

By including a list of other related blog posts in your post, your
wordpress will automatically "pingback" all those sites and ask
them for a link back to your site.

WHY THIS IS WIN-WIN-WIN:

This simple "twist" to the traditional pingback link-acquisition
strategy is perceived very differently by blog owners that your are
trying to get a link from because it delivers genuine value to
everyone involved.

Everyone wins:

1. - THE BLOGS YOU LINK TO WIN:

The blog owners that are linking TO wins - because they are getting
legitimate and valuable links from your website... And if you start
getting traffic and search engine rankings a percentage of your
viewers may click through and visit their website, particularly if
it is genuinely relevant to your original post.

2. - YOUR BLOG READERS WIN:

Your own blog audience wins - because you are offering genuinely
useful information through finding quality links that are related
to the topic that they are interested in.

3. - AND YOU WIN!:

Because you get back quality links from other quality sites, and
get a much higher percentage of your link pingback requests being
approved helping you to dominate the search engines.

STILL SOUNDS LIKE HARD WORK? MARKET SAMURAI AUTOMATES CREATING
"RELATED POST" PINGBACK CODE..

It couldn't be easier...

The "Promotion" module in Market Samurai allows you quickly
identify quality blog posts. THEN it lets you analyze each post (or
all at once), fetches key information on the authority of the blog
content you want to get pingback links from, and more.

HERE'S HOW TO USE MARKET SAMURAI TO PROFIT FROM PINGBACKS - YOUR
MARKET SAMURAI PINGBACKING CHEAT SHEET...

There's a detailed video on the blog pingback strategy on the Video
Tutorials page, inside the Noble Samurai support area.

But here's a quick summary of how to get the most out of the
"Promotion" function in Market Samurai, and find the best quality
pingback opportunities:

1. Open a tab in Market Samurai for the keyword that you want to
use as a basis to find backlinks for.

2. Click the "Promotion" module tab on the left hand side of Market
Samurai.

3. Click one or more of the checkboxes under the "Blogs" heading in
the backlink sources area.

4. Click "Find Backlinks" - Market Samurai will then fetch a list
of potential blog posts that are related to your keyword.

5. Click "Analyze All" - This will populate the Analysis columns
with data, allowing you to sort your blog posts.

6. Sort by PageRank (Click the "PR" column heading): If there are
any results with pagerank these should float to the top. If so,
scan down looking for rows which have the "F" (Follow Links) and
"PB" (Pingback Supported) columns set to "Y". If you find any,
review the content to see if the content is of a high quality. If
so, click the checkbox to add the blog post to your list of
pingback links.

7. Sort by Backlinks (Click the "BL" column heading): This will put
the blog posts that have the highest number of backlinks to the top
of your list. Once again, search for posts that have both the "F"
and "PB" columns set to "Y". Review the content for quality, and if
you are happy click the checkbox to add the content to your
pingback list.

8. Sort by Follow (Click the "F" column heading) - This shows all
the follow blogs at the top. Scan down to find those blogs which
also have a "Y" in the "PB" column. Once again, if you are happy
with the content, add it to your pingback list.

9. Copy the Pingback HTML to your clipboard by clicking the "Copy
Code" button in the "Create Pingback HTML area.

10.  Paste the HTML code under the "Code" tab in your blog post
with a heading such as "Related Posts".

11. Publish your content. Your blogging platform should
automatically contact all the sites linked to in your post and
pingback the sites. Over time, a proportion of those sites will
link back to you, once they've had a chance to review your site.

Remember to add value at every turn!

This strategy is meant to be win-win-win, for everyone involved!

Automatic spam comment systems such as Akismet are very good at
catching spammy comments, and most keep public databases of "known
spammers". If your domain gets flagged as being spammy, your
pingbacks will be rejected by practically every blog that uses
Akismet, and the Pingback strategy will stop working effectively.

MARKET SAMURAI TIP: EXPLOIT YOUR LATENT LINK POTENTIAL - YOU'RE
LEAVING LINKS "ON THE TABLE"

If you already have a blog - OR if you have existing blog posts
that do not already use this strategy - then you're sitting on a
gold mine of untapped "latent" links.

Simply go through all your past blog posts and generate pingback
links for each of your individual posts.

If you do 4 or 5 links for each of your posts you can very quickly
generate hundreds of links to your site WITH THE CONTENT THAT YOU
ALREADY HAVE!

This simple step in itself might be enough to catapult your site in
authority and in the search engines!

The end result is that you'll gain a stack more links and also
generate click through traffic from the blogs where you're
generating links from, while providing genuinely useful related
links for the visitors who read your blog. It's a powerful tool.

WARNING: WITH GREAT SAMURAI POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY...

Like all Samurai weapons, use this weapon wisely.

I urge you - DO NOT ABUSE THE POWER OF THIS FEATURE.

Blog comment and pingback spam is a big problem, and there are very
good solutions to combat it.

If your domain gets branded as being a spammer, you might never be
able to post a pingback or blog comment linking to your site again.

WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS...

The promotion module of Market Samurai is still evolving and over
the next few months we're planning to add additional link-building
weapons to your Samurai arsenal.

The battle of SEO is fought on the front-line of link-building, and
having cutting-edge link-building tools is critical for any SEO
strategy.

WARNING: YOUR MARKET SAMURAI HALF-PRICE DISCOUNT WILL EXPIRE IN
LESS THAN 12 HOURS!

If you haven't yet locked in your $69 half price discount, you have
less than 12 hours to do so.

At 11:59PM on September 12th (Pacific Standard Time) the price of
Market Samurai is more than DOUBLING to $149 (our general public
launch special price).

Software with similar pingback functionality retails at $97 by
itself - but Market Samurai's pingback tool is just ONE tool in a
massive arsenal of SEO weapons that you get with Market Samurai.

To avoid disappointment and to claim your copy at $69 before the 30
Day Challenge offer expires (in just a few hours time!), you need
to hurry before it's too late:

http://clicks.aweber.com/y/ct/?l=9Ay_e&m=1aDqMyO_2REdjC&b=jZuvc.L.LXYrL7k5NB4oMg

Without wanting to put the pressure on, this is the last chance
ever to buy at $69, and it would be a shame if you were to miss out.

Warm regards

Duplicate Content Penalty Google

In this great post from the team at Noble Samurai, you know the
guys behind the latest ground breaking 'Market Samurai' keyword
tool, they totally explain the TRUTH about the Google duplicate
content penalty.

While it DOES exist, many don't understand the truth about the
content penalty from Google. Read on and find out exactly what
the content penalty is and how it will affect your site, content
and your eventual Google SERP rankings.

THERE ARE NO FOOLPROOF RECIPES FOR SUCCESS ONLINE

Even top online marketing experts don't get things right 100% of
the time.

Despite all of the science that goes into tools like Market
Samurai, and building educational programmes like the 30 Day
Challenge, nobody's ever created a system that provides a 100%
chance of success, in 100% of all cases.

This means you can STILL go to all the effort...

...Choose a market...

...Research, analyze, and identify keywords that might be potential
winners...

...Find a product to promote...

...Spend hours researching the market to work out what to write
about...

...Spend even more time and effort writing articles - content that
(if things don't go well) might only ever be read by a tiny handful
of people...

...Set up a blog...

...Get backlinks...

...etc, etc, etc...

As you'd know, just dipping your toe into a market to test whether
or not you're onto a winner is A LOT of hard work - even if you
have a streamlined strategy.

And after ALL THIS HARD WORK, you STILL might not even rank well
for a keyword!

And if this happens, you end up with nothing, nada, zip, zero -
nothing to show for all of the hard work you put in.

It's annoying - It's frustrating - It's heart-wrenching.

It feels like you've been kicked in the guts - and it kills you to
see all of your hard work going down the drain!

This is when most people quit.

And it's not because they did anything wrong - it's just that this
market wasn't a winner.

The problem is, there's no way to know the result in advance - at
least not with any degree of certainty.

But there IS a way to remove a lot of the risk!

It means taking some smart shortcuts, doing things the lazy way,
and testing markets faster and with less effort.

Does this sound like something you'd be interested in?

Well, the solution is to cut down the time it takes to do the most
time-consuming task - writing content!

Because, no matter what else you do...

...YOU STILL NEED TO COME UP WITH CONTENT FOR YOUR SITE!

Realistically, you only have two options when it comes to content.

OPTION 1: CREATE YOUR OWN UNIQUE CONTENT

The best long term strategy for getting high quality, unique
content is to write it yourself - or at least pay someone to do the
hard work for you.

But there are big problem with writing unique content from scratch...

- Writing unique content is time-consuming and hard work -
particularly if you're writing about a keyword that you know little
about.

- Most people struggle to write content - writing quality content
is a skill that few people possess naturally;

- Paying ghost-writers to write for you is expensive - but even
this takes time to manage, and (of course) money to fund;

And in all of these examples...

YOU'RE INVESTING TIME, EFFORT AND MONEY INTO WRITING CONTENT THAT
MIGHT NOT EVER RECEIVE A SINGLE VISITOR, OR A SINGLE RANKING IN
GOOGLE!

BUT... there's another option...

OPTION 2: USE SOMEONE ELSE'S CONTENT

A much more efficient way of finding content, is to use some
quality content that someone else has written, that you can legally
re-publish.

It's at this point in time that I can hear a lot of people
screaming in agony:

"WHAT ABOUT THE 'DUPLICATE CONTENT' PENALTY?"

Okay, let's bust the duplicate content myth...

There's a very strong belief in the SEO community that Google
Penalizes "duplicate content" on the Internet.

Most people believe that if you republish someone else's content on
your website, and you aren't seen to be the ORIGINAL SOURCE of the
content, then Google won't give you full credit for your content.
Instead, they will actually penalize you for publishing something
that already exists elsewhere on the internet.

There is certainly an element of truth to this theory - in fact,
Google (in its own SEO Quality Guidelines) warns webmasters "Don't
create domains with substantially duplicate content".

BUT BEFORE YOU FREAK OUT ABOUT DUPLICATE CONTENT...
...HERE'S THE TRUTH:

FACT #1. Google Can Detect Duplicate Content... but the systems
they use are not perfect.

Even a small 5-15% change of the content can often be enough to
convince Google that you're content is original.

FACT #2. First-In Does Not Mean Best-Ranked

The first-published version of the content is not automatically the
version that Google counts as the "original" version - with all
other versions counted as duplicates. In our experience, Google
gives "original" version status to the version that has the highest
CONTENT AUTHORITY.

WHAT THE HECK IS "CONTENT AUTHORITY"?

Put simply, Content Authority is the amount of search engine
"strength" that a piece of content, or web page has.

If you have 100 copies of a particular article on the web, the copy
that has the highest page rank and best backlinks will have the
highest "content authority", and more often than not, will rank
FIRST for the relevant keywords that can be found in the article...

...EVEN THOUGH IT WASN'T THE ORIGINAL SOURCE!

WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?

This is a true gold-nugget of information - because it means that
you can ethically "steal" other people's content (from article
syndication sites like Ezine Articles, Article City, Go-Articles
and more), republish and promote these articles... and then...

...RANK IN GOOGLE USING CONTENT THAT YOU DIDN'T WRITE!...

But... There's a catch...

This strategy only works if the content has a LOW CONTENT AUTHORITY.

You can easily work out the Content Authority for most content in
Market Samurai by clicking the "Analyze Article" button that
appears next in each row of content that it found.

UNDERSTANDING CONTENT AUTHORITY IN MARKET SAMURAI

When you click the "Analyze Article" button Market Samurai pulls
back five measures of Content Authority.

1. "Phrase Count" (PC) - This is simply the number of times your
keyword appears in the article. Generally, the higher the better.
This is not so much a Content Authority measure, but a measure of
how relevant the content is to the keyword you are trying to find
content for.

2. "Index Count" (IC) - This is an estimate of the number of times
this very same article exists in Google Index. If the IC is "6",
then there are 6 other "copies" of this article according to
Google. Generally the lower this number the better it is for you if
you want to reuse this content.

3. "Page Rank" (PR) - This is the PageRank score of the article on
the site where we found the article. A PR score of "2" for an
ezinearticles.com article means that the instance of the article on
ezinearticles.com has a PageRank value of 1. Obviously the higher
this number is, the higher the Content Authority is, and the less
likely we would use this article unmodified on our own website.

4. "Backlinks" (BL) - This is the number of backlinks that point to
the article on the site where we found the article. The higher the
number of backlinks the more Content Authority the article has.

5. "Age" (AGE) - This is the date that the content was published.
Older content has higher Content Authority than newer content.

By evaluating all these five factors we can easily identify high
quality content, that has low Content Authority, publish this
content unmodified on our website.

IS IT ETHICAL TO TAKE AND REPUBLISH OTHER PEOPLE'S CONTENT?

Some people may question the practice of using other peoples'
content to rank well in the search engines.

The reality is that most authors who submit their work to article
sites like Ezine Articles, Go Articles and Article City LOVE IT
when you republish the content they created - so long as you comply
with the terms of service for that site.

(Hint: Click the "Terms of Use" button when you're viewing the
content for more details)

Why do they love it?

Because the authors of the content want their content published on
as many sites as possible!

That's why most people publish their content to article syndication
sites in the first case.

In most cases the main reason that authors allow their content to
be syndicated is that the terms of use for most article directories
specifies that you must contain a link back to the author's web
site, which is great for their SEO efforts!

And if the site where you host your content has greater Content
Authority than the article directory page where they originally
published the article, all the better: They are getting an even
higher quality backlink which helps them even more.

It truly is a win-win outcome for everyone involved.

BUT... THIS IS A SHORT TERM STRATEGY

Sure, if you do it right, you can make a lot of money just using
this principle and republishing content that you have the
permission to syndicate, and using this content to generate traffic
to your site.

Heck, I've done it myself!

At one time, I was making a lazy $10,000 per month using this
strategy on steroids!

But it's a short-sighted model to use long term.

Take it from me; you're far better off creating a genuine online
business that delivers genuine value to genuine people who you have
a genuine relationship with. "Quick buck" websites that try to
survive using tricks like the one I've taught you today appear and
disappear quickly (I might explain why another time) - but genuine
businesses stand the test of time.

That's why the main reason you would want to use the strategy I
have taught you today is to simply to TEST THE MARKET without
having to invest all the hard work upfront in writing your content
BEFORE YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE GOING TO GET ANY RESULTS.

This can save you a lot of time, effort and heartache testing
markets if you don't pick a winner.

Once you've proven there's traffic in the market, and that you can
make money out of the traffic you're receiving, then your market
TEST is complete.

Now you can invest some time or money into creating your own unique
content, knowing that your precious time, effort and money are
unlikely to be flushed down the toilet.

Google Broadmatch Tip

We were reviewing our survey data today, and discovered something
interesting - 7,278 Market Samurai users said that they wanted to
increase their web-site traffic.

This is fantastic - it's precisely what Market Samurai excels at,
because it's able to find high traffic, low competition keywords
that you can achieve easy rankings for.

But we've noticed lately that some people aren't getting their
keyword selection right.

They're getting tripped up by a common keyword selection snare, and
as a result their traffic levels are suffering.

----------
Why Getting the Wrong Word Order Can Cost You Big Traffic
----------

Market Samurai has many unique and cutting edge features that have
never been seen before in any other keyword research software.

One of these is Google's "Broad Match" traffic data.

Broad match traffic data is highly valuable because it mimics "real
life" web traffic by taking into account traffic for other related
keywords.

After all, even if your web-site is optimized for a single keyword,
you'll still get a lot of visitors who searched for other related
keywords - not just the one single search term.

As an example, if you optimize your site for "Vintage Electric
Guitars", you still may get traffic for "Vintage Fender Electric
Guitars", "Vintage Electric Bass Guitars" and other derivative
keywords.

This means "Broad Match" traffic data is a much better indication
of the potential traffic there is for a keyword than its "Phrase
Match" or "Exact Match" alternatives - because it takes into
account other derivative keywords that you are likely to also get
traffic from.

The problem with "Broad Match" traffic data is that it can often
get the word order of keywords mixed up, and show some weird and
wacky combination of words instead of the word order that a user
might normally search for.

i.e. it might show "guitars electric vintage" instead of "vintage
electric guitars"

If we optimized for "guitars electric vintage", we might find that
we only receive a tiny fraction of the traffic that we might have
received if we had have optimized for "vintage electric guitars" -
because far fewer people use the keywords in this order.

That's why it's valuable to check the word order of keywords before
optimizing around them.

----------
Here's How to Quickly Avoid This Mistake:
----------

To check the word order of keywords, we need to go to the Google
Keyword Tool at:

https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

And compare the broad-matched traffic figures to the phrase-matched
traffic figures for the keyword.

Let's use "copy writing" as an example - and have a look at the two
possible word orders for this keyword and find out which one of
these two keywords is the best to optimize for.

"copy writing", or "writing copy"

If we type both of these keywords into the Google Keyword Tool, and
have a look at the world-wide, broad-matched traffic data for these
keywords we see that both have 27,100 searches per month.

However, if we change the match type from "Broad" to "Phrase" (to
get an indication of which word order is more common), we see that
"writing copy" has 1,900 searches per month, but "copy writing" has
18,100 searches per month - the lions share of all traffic for this
keyword.

In most cases, assuming SEO Competition [SEOC] figures from Market
Samurai as well as the data from the SEO Competition tab for both
keywords were both largely identical, we would want to optimize for
the version of the keyword that had the most traffic.

However, hopefully this email helps to improve the results you
receive from Market Samurai.

----------
Is Phrase Match / Exact Match Traffic Coming to Market Samurai?:
----------

This is a question we are asked frequently - and the good news is -
yes, both Phrase Match and Exact Match traffic data will be part of
Market Samurai.

This feature will be added to Market Samurai in an upcoming update.

It will allow users to double-check the word order of their
keywords without leaving the Market Samurai software, and get data
in a format that they prefer.

----------
