Ecovers, free tutorial by Eric Holmlund

In lesson #40, I covered several aspects of using graphics on your website, including "Ecovers, the free tutorial".

In case you missed my recommended resource at the end of the lesson, I encourage you to check this out: http://www.EcoverEngine.com

As you will see from the short demo video, anyone can use this tool to generate great looking Ecovers in a matter of minutes.

So what's so important about Ecovers?

They can really help you sell your digital products (like ebooks, videos, etc), because they create a higher perceived value in the minds of your visitors.

Unlike the offline world of brick-and-mortar stores, your web-based visitors can NOT pick up your product and physically hold it to judge it's quality. They have to make their judgement based upon the content of your sales page, and your cover graphic is one component that helps build value in your product.

You could pay a graphic designer to make your Ecovers for you, or you could quickly do it yourself with this simple tool.

SEO Course Information

If you normally receive my emails in HTML format, I apologize that
this is going out as "text only". I was in a hurry to get this news
out to you, and you're about to understand why.

***IF YOUR'RE IN A HURRY, JUST GO WATCH THIS VIDEO...***

https://member.stompernet.net/?r=6&i=68

As you may have noticed, I have not been promoting many product
launches in the past few months... especially not the overly hyped
ones.

I honestly wasn't planning on sending you another email today,
because I wasn't planning on promoting this, BUT...

I just learned something that shocked me.

Brad and Andy of StomperNET have decided to give away their new
Stomping the Search Engines 2.0 course. (They literally just
announced this to their JV partners today).

This industry keeps setting new standards.

When John Reese decided to sell his Traffic Secrets 2.0 a couple
months ago for only $400 (instead of the anticipated $1997), it
definitely caught a lot of people's attention.

I think Brad and Andy are not willing to catch a "lot of peoples'
attention". They want to catch EVERYONE'S attention!

So they're giving it away for $0 (you pay only shipping).

This is NOT a watered-down course. It's the premier SEO course on
the market. You could pay $497+ for it on their website right now,
or you could grab it for $0 through this promotion.

Check it out at:

https://member.stompernet.net/?r=6&i=68

OK, now let me back up the story a bit!

A couple weeks ago, they sent me a JV preview copy of this new
course. It comes on 2 DVD-ROM's and includes the first issue of
their new print newsletter.

I looked at all of it, and I thought to myself... "This is awesome
stuff. Thanks guys, but I don't think I want to promote another
$800/month program right now..."

In case you weren't aware, their StomperNET membership is
literally $800/month (or $9,000/year or something like that).

And this is the SAME material they teach their StomperNET members,
so I assumed it would have a hefty price tag.

I stuck the review copy on my shelf and thought, "too bad, it's
another great program that will be out of reach of most of my
subscribers".

Then I forgot about it for most of the last couple weeks, as I had
no intentions of promoting another over-hyped high-dollar home
study course.

But then I got an email just now from them, saying they're going to
give away the course for $0.

I was like, WHAT!?

So I went and checked it out, and sure enough, they're doing it.

As you might guess, they do have an ulterior motive. They're trying
to get people interested in subscribing to their new print
newsletter.

I got a review copy of it too, and it's really good. If they can
manage to keep the quality of it this good every month, I'll be
very impressed. But if anyone can do it, it's them. They've
surrounded themselves with many of the most talented marketers in
the industry, so they have an entire team writing for them.

Anyway, I'll be blunt with you. The only reason I'm sending this
email right now is because I think everyone should grab a copy of
"Stomping the Search Engines" from their crazy offer.

They have a PROVEN track record of helping people become wealthy
through Search Engine Optimization (they've created so many
millionaires that they've lost track of how many).

I honestly don't even know what I'm getting out of this promotion.
I assume they're paying some commissions on the back end, but I'm
not even sure what or how much. All I know is that this is a
phenomenal offer, so I wanted to let you know about it right away.

You can get all the details at:

https://member.stompernet.net/?r=6&i=68

Again, I'm sorry for this hastily written email, but I think you'll
forgive me when you see how good the course is :-)

Thanks for being a member, and I'll be in touch.

Have a great day!

Christian Marketing Conference

"Controversy! And 12 Free Bonuses from Eric Holmlund"

It's been awhile since I've stirred up any controversy on my blog, so it kind of feels good, although it was completely unintentional in this case.

Apparently some readers think it was very inappropriate for me to promote the Christian Marketing Conference.

I was actually surprised, because I felt like I wrote the blog post in a way that would not be offensive to my friends of other faiths. It's not like I said you have to become a Christian to be a good marketer or anything like that.

Some of the comments included...

"I'm really disappointed in you, Eric. A Christian Marketing Conference? I wasn't aware that marketing had a religious affiliation."

"Religion has a way of being divisive, intentional or not... ...as one of your readers I was disappointed to read what amounted to a promo for a Christian Internet marketers conference."

"...hooking everything up to the Christian thing is verging on distasteful... and crass - is this not the tail wagging the dog for money?"

If you've got an opinion of your own, feel free to share it in the comments on the blog entry:

Read the entry and leave comments...

The good news is that some of you have already signed up to join me at the seminar. Alejandro told me he's only planning on selling 100 seats, so I expect it will fill up. That also means it will be a fairly small conference with ample opportunity to network and talk one on one with the experts.

NEXT ITEM OF BUSINESS:

So far, 300 Eric's Tips readers have grabbed the StomperNet SEO home study course for free! That's great, but it means that many of you still have not grabbed it.

Those who have already grabbed it will be rewarded with 12 extra bonuses from the top marketers in the industry. And I'm not talking about ebook bonuses... I'm talking about quality material like a $997 course from Jeff Johnson.

If you have not yet grabbed it, you can still get it (along with all the bonuses), but the bonuses will be taken away on MONDAY.

So please claim your copy at:

Get the StomperNet SEO course for free...

As I've mentioned previously, I give this "Stomping the Search Engines" course my highest recommendation, which is why I'm really encouraging everyone to get a copy of it.

By the way I'm on the road right now-- you'll never guess where I am... maybe I'll tell you soon...

Have a great day!

Internet Marketing Failure

Find out where so many internet marketers 'Fail' in their missions.
This latest leson from Eric Holmlund gives an insight into the
areas that need more work and generally bring even the more
experienced internet marketers undone. A key lesson on the
journey to making your millions.

Lesson #21
August 25, 2008

"This is where a lot of marketers fall off the track..."

Hi Nrl,

In the previous two lessons, I talked about how to choose a niche market.

But that's not enough!

You need to zoom in on the desires of your target market, and provide them with the information that they are willing to PAY for.

If you fail to do this, your product runs the risk of missing the target...

View Lesson #21 Here...

I want to give you fair warning that this is where a lot of new marketers miss the boat. If you end up with a product that nobody wants to buy, more than likely you can trace it back to THIS lesson and see that you didn't dig deep enough into your market to find out what they really want to pay for.

This is what separates successful information products from the ones that fail.

Get all the details at:

View Lesson #21...

Be on the lookout for Lesson #22, and as always-- please post your questions and comments on the blog.

Have a great day!
